“Empire” “Blueprint”

Inspired by Peaky Blinders, Gangs of New York, Road to Perdition and all early 20th century "Gangster" material...

Every right-hand man has got a right-hand man/
Blood money will have you fight ‘til the last man stands/
So I maneuver like Van Damme/
The sooner I command/
The sooner my demands will fall into my hands/
The larger the scale, the larger the quake/
The margin of error is so thin it should brake/
A step ahead, always pick up the pace/
Take many routes to an unknown estate/
No council meetings, I’m spread throughout the city/
No commitment, sit on many committees/
I’m a result of circumstance/
Made many a kinship as I search the lands/
Urgent plans makes for a nervous lad/
No judgments, I check for certain stats/
No desire to head the table, enough food on my plate/
Reside in the shadows and patiently wait/
Every right-hand man has objectives/
With the right men all produce well as a collective/
Soldiers don’t question a comfortable life/
Grease the machine so that it functions right/
Never let assumptions rise/
That’s when dysfunction strikes/
A glorified empire yet under the radar/
The right scheme assures the heat remains far/
Network properly without the need to exchange cards/
Proof is intangible/
Suits wrapped in coats made out of an animal/
Immersed in a trance, watch folks practice life/
Wake up fourscore later and look back at the sacrifice/
