“Consumed”

“Consumed”

I’m consumed by passion
So all of my dreams will come true /
The nightmares are behind me
So all that I believe doesn’t seem to be untrue /
All that I conceive in my mind becomes reality without a doubt /
I’m blessed in abundance keep my feet on the ground
And keep my head in the clouds /
I’m confident yet remain humble as I’m being guided /
Overcome with delight and there’s no need to fight it /
Too excited, my fire ignites the whole landscape /
Quarantine positive thoughts and never let them escape /
Scars left over from the torture
But I’m not far from the fortunes /
Hustling all day, all week the pores are leaking endorphins /
High as a kite, high on life, died so many times feels like I have nine lives /
Push forward ‘til there’s nothing left in the tank, have to live right /
I have the will to fabricate favorable outcomes /
I’m a star that’s soaring in the Millennium Falcon /
My story’s based on true events
Of some smooth and not so smooth movements /
But, that only leaves room for improvement /

“Redeemed”

“Redeemed”

With every minute that passes I feel more redeemed
My beliefs are coming back to increase my self-esteem
My faith is strong enough that I can’t abandon it
I no longer feel stranded or disbanded
Floated when I should’ve drowned
I overcame the ego to stay grounded
The pursuit of happiness is bumpy
I shouldn’t be allowed to make assumptions
Exhale defeat and inhale hope
Feel so fresh and so clean like a hundred bars of soap
Now, back to reality and what it brings to the table
I‘ve made sure that all components are stable
The next level is sure to bring out the best in me
Thank my writing for rescuing me
Also thank the almighty for rescuing me

“Positive Affirmations”

“Positive Affirmations”
Life can be funny, the sarcasm is poignant
One moment you’re sad, the other filled with enjoyment
Realize you control your own fate -
To a certain extent, but praise that which is great
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure
One man’s poison is another man’s pleasure
The gift of free-will is not to be taken for granted
Get straight to the point, no need to be dramatic
Who decides the circumstances your dealt?
What differentiates success from a failure?
Always speak from the heart even if it’s hated
How come there are so many honorable vagrants?
Yet I always stay optimistic
Hoping the man upstairs is listening
Listens to my prayers because the gifts given are shared
I’m nothing without the power of the almighty
Never take positive affirmations lightly

“Cataracts”

“Cataracts”

Wings on an angel soar across the skies
While the horns of the beast attempt to cause a crisis
Various interpretations of what is righteous
Militants target the defenseless innocents
Above the turmoil lies magnificence
Even the hardest egos suffer from impotence
Every brilliance has a ceiling
Fear can’t be allowed in one’s appearance
Living in the moment results in emotions of the purest
Try to fathom if it’s real or pretend
Must defend the control center
The best operator can get into a fender-bender
Wreckage can be reconstructed
One can easily be abducted
But you must read between the lines of obstruction
Try to place emphasis of the true nemesis
Come to realize one’s absolute temperament
Tread the concrete contemplating the abstract
Visualize the light even through the cataracts

“Mannequins”

“Mannequins”
Found the golden ticket, but I can only expose a snippet
All elections are rigged
Most ballots are counterfeit
All Politicians belong to the same tribe
They all commit the same war crimes
A game to intentionally explore minds
The victor’s been chosen ages ago
Welcome to the Skull and Bones and Illuminati show
I’m a philanthropist and an anarchist
I plan on making more moves than a mannequin
Quickly regained my sanity
Thought I’d lost all hope in humanity
There’s plenty of blame to go around
Whether you’re black, white, yellow or brown
I’m embracing all, I've never been a racist
We are all adjacent in this world of facelifts
Lately feel like I’ve been floating on a life raft
The current gets stronger, but I fight back
Time for sovereignty, we need a cleanse
If we don’t rebel we might as well be one of them
Preparing for the harvest as I await carnage
Knowing that the wrong people get pardoned
The gavel’s misplaced and passed on like a torch
Freedom flows through my veins and seeps through my pores

“Tomorrow Has To Be Better”

“Tomorrow Has To Be Better”
The dementia can make you pretentious
Many are a prisoner to modern inventions
Even though you crave them, you should avoid certain confections
Prone to infections, never throw stones over vengeance
Same things that can twist you like pretzels-
Are the same things that make you a stronger vessel
Endless potential, I’m hungry, but don’t have the proper utensils
Look to the sky and ask for the essential tools to get centered
Try to weather the storm and find the right trenches
The game impacts you whether you’re a starter or sitting on benches
Too many thoughts hang over my head like extensions
You shouldn’t get lost by assuming direction
You don’t have be behind bars to be in prison
Strong convictions mixed with contradictions
From one day to the next witness cataclysms
Even the furthest objects can have friction
Gratitude can be clouded overnight
A peaceful day is abruptly decayed when bombs fly
Take shelter until the dust settles
Because I know tomorrow has to be better

"Inferno"

“Inferno”
Trapped in a corner
Flames approaching
Thinking this it
Choking from the smoke inhalation
Eyes foggy
Starting to feel blind
Reminisce on the good times
Graduation seems likely
But, there’s still some fight in me
Speak to GOD politely
Asking for forgiveness
If I’m taking
Then so be it
I won’t question him
I’m a simple pedestrian
In this world of life
The roads are many
Some intersect
Sometimes there are signs
To redirect the path
Have to accept both
The good and accept the wrath
Was it arson?
Or was it a gas leak?
The heat increases
Getting harder to breathe
Seconds feel eternal
How did I come across this inferno?

Ironic
