“Written in Stone”

Sometimes you have to jump the gun
Make hard decisions with an unknown outcome
Tired of talent being milked without mutual gain
Meddle in deep concentration until my future’s explained
Never look back, the past is written in stone
Flying down a narrow path, transmission restored
Can’t pump the brakes, opportunities in droves
I’m immune to failure as I sail toward goals
Not only do I accomplish, I also surpass
The pastures are always greener as soon as I step on the grass
No shepherd, but I try to spread a message of traps
My brain has an endless playlist, but I’m aging so fast
Need to grasp and release all of the content
I find inspiration in anything and start pouring out fountains
The answers come and go, memory don’t fail me now
A balanced life means being spiritually, physically and mentally sound
